Large steel motorcycle crate available in Vancouver May 6th 2013
 

Hello We are just in the process of shipping our bike into Vancouver and shortly our all metal crate will be available there if anyone needs one. We would appreciate $100 or so for it to recoup some of the cost of making it but if anyone is flat broke and needs to get home they can have it.

It will fit a BIG touring bike or probably 2 slim dirt bikes top and tail with bars and panniers off.

It is built on a harley road king steel skid with an angle iron frame around it skinned in steel roofing sheet so no problems with wood through customs.
All steel is painted and all gaps sealed with expanding foam.

It looks like a bike sized shipping container.
This is a REALLY good strong tidy looking crate. Probably too heavy for air transport but ideal for sea. 2 people could pick up the skid with framework on before it was skinned (probably still could but haven't tried since) so that gives some idea of its weight.
Forgot to measure exact internal dims but OUTSIDE dimensions are 269cm long x 117cm wide x 145cm high.
Inside would be APPROXIMATELY 260x 100 x140cm
