Iran to India - what options?
 

Hello,

i'm currently in Iran, and working on various options in order to reach India with my motorcycle. My Pakistan Visa has been refused, so I have to sort out different ways.

I checked all post, but some infos seem now outdated. So I get this opportunity to raise this issue again.

I have three options in mind:

1. Fly and cargo from Tehran (or Isfahan?)
2. Ferry from Bandar Abbas to Dubai and air freight from there
3. From Dubai further to Oman

I have very few information about what option would be recommended, as price would play a factor. I would be very happy if you could share your experience here, such as possible contacts, price, what to expect.

(Do note, that it took him 3-4 days to clear his MC from customs in Mumbai – even though he is Indian!!)

My advise is not to ship anything into India what you have to get out of customs. I traveled Asia a few years ago and met a guy from San Marino who lived in India for 7 years. He did that mistake once to ship from Dubai into India and it took him a week to clear customs. They ask him to organize paperwork and stuff which is non existing just to hold his bike longer to charge him storage fees etc.
