India To Thailand
 

Hello Travellers,

Travelling (attempting) to ride from Munich to Thailand and would liek some advice on how to get across.

It appears that shipping will cost in excess of $700 which is way above mz budget (as is so much else...) and have heard that it is possible to get a ferry from Sri Lanka to Singapore and then ride up !

Anyone done this before or perhaps some other ideas

maybe there is a ferry from Sri Lanka to Singapure, but there is no ferry from India to Sri Lanka. So you will have to crate your bike to ship to Sri Lanka.

I travelled India 12/99 to 5/00 on my journey around the world. A lot of overlanders flew their bikes from Kathmandu to Bangkok, and I met a dutch biker he got a cheap deal with Aeroflot from New Delhi to Bangkok.
