I want to get my bike from NZ to India. Quoted nearly NZ$4000 (US$ 2000) by air freight
Therefore considering shipping by sea,anyone had recent experience of dealing with port officials clearing their bike.Would like to hear about other peoples experience, also can anyone suggest good shipping agent in India to clear the bike for me.

Hi there,

Perhaps you can consider flying back from Kathmandu, Nepal.
Transportation and cratting of our BMW R1200GS by air to Holland did cost 1.735$ and was done by www.atlaspackersnepal.com.
