HU Canada 2020
 

Hello.
Anyone UK/GB planning to visit HU Canada West 9th July 2020?
I am thinking of shipping/flying my bike to Eastern Canada and riding across Canada to Vancouver incorporating HU weekend en-route.
Interested to hear from anyone with similar aspirations or having past experience of this.

I didn’t specifically have the HU Canada in mind for 2020 but I am hoping to fly my bike to Toronto, ride the TAT, then fly it back from Vancouver so interested to swap notes. Would consider the HU event if it fitted the timetable.

My provisional plan is to fly Air Canada to Montreal out of Manchester pick up bike, tarmac across Canada, (stop a few days with relations in Toronto and a bit further West) get to HU by 9th July, continue to Vancouver then South East via Washington State, Oregon, Nevada and finally Colorado Springs where I hope to leave the bike for a year. Return in 2021 and continue across the US up to Chicago and return flight. At the minute looking at bike insurance costs, flights, bike cargo options, dangerous goods inspections, customs and clearance taxes etc. Been around a bit. Camping preferred.

Good morning Victor / Andy,
Have plans along the same line for the whole of June, no dead certain route but ship bike to Toronto then head west but on the smaller roads, depending on where I end up finding a friendly biking soul to store my bike and come back to start again for September then staring the whole procedure again the following year.
Have most things in order just the leaving the bike in the country and leaving without it on the import export front? From travels in Africa and other eastern countries the passport gets stamped showing you entered with a vehicle so you should leave with it ?
Any thoughts appreciated
