getting to Ethiopia?
 

How would i ship a bike from the UK ( or Greece/Italy/Turkey) to Ethiopia? I would like to avoid Egypt/Sudan.

As Ethiopia has no seaport you may consider flying it direct to Addis. It will get there a whole lot quicker and in one piece. Otherwise try Djibouti or Massawa (Eritrea) if anyone goes there (try from France or Italy). The little war with Eritrea is over, right?

I would forget about shipping to Ethiopia but take Asmara- Eritrea (in case border is closed you can go via Djibouty) or Nairobi-Kenia instead.
Even embassies have a hard time to get their stuff out of Addis airport.
I do not have experience with getting out of it with a whole bike , but spare parts are a big enough nightmare (while Eritrea and Kenia were relatively easy
