Ferry from Algeria to Spain

Does anybody know of a ferry service from Algeria to Spain.
I found one on WWW.Discoverspain.com that offers a service from Alicante to Algiers but havnt been able to make contact with them.

Although there are ferries to northern Algeria, you'll be in real danger when you arrive there. I know a couple of Algerian girls in the north and they admit the north is extremely dangerous. I also have friends in the security side of oil exploration out there and they wouldn't dream of going north of Ouargla. (See elsewhere on this site for other people's impressions.)
You can't go into Morocco from Algeria, but you can go into Tunisia near Nefta. Then you can take a boat from Tunisia to Italy or France.
Its a long way round to get to Spain, but its better than getting killed in northern Algeria. Good luck.

Thanks. The warning is noted.
I've found out that the ferry Alicante to Algiers runs only in the summer months.
I'll probably have to Go through to france.

Bevan, I second what Rich said in his post above. I worked in (southern) Algeria for some time up until about a year ago, there is just no way at all I would ever consider going north of Ouargla, or perhaps even north of Hassi Messaoud.

I'm not sure what kind of route you are planning, but you might want to consider taking a ferry to Tunisia, which is a nice, safe, civilized place, then entering southern Algeria from Tunisia.
