Trying to get from Europe to Africa with our 4 x4
 

Does anyone have any up to date information on crossing from Europe to Egypt?
My boyfriend and I have our Land cruiser in the UK and are hoping to leave in August to drive to South Africa.
At the moment the most difficult part seems to be getting the vehicle in to Africa.
We had hoped to go through East Africa. But getting our vehicle in to Egypt is problematic.

If anyone has any help or advice it would be much apprecited.

Any news on getting to Egypt by ferry?

I'm planning a bike trip to South Africa down the east side of the continent, but need to get to Egypt to do it. Any info gratefully received.

I am pretty sure you can take the Grimaldi RoRo from Italy/Greece/southern turkey to Egypt. But you have to fly: Egypt won't/isn't allowed to deal with passengers.
For the bike, you can go to issueless with a RoRo.

For lily: have you considered shipping via container to maybe port Sudan or far es salaam, or are you keen to include Egypt?
