Container,Panama to Columbia

I just arrived in Panama Dec 22, 2016 with no reservations for shipping my Suzuki DR650 to Columbia. I ran into 4 other bikers at a hostel, and we are all sharing a 20' container to Cartegena, leaving this weekend. The cost will work out to about $500 total for each bike. That's counting both ends. I contacted a shipping broker and he has arranged everything. His contact info is:
boris_jaramillo@hotmail.com He is a shipping broker and can find space on a shared container or can lease a container for a group. Reliable and prompt, he doesn't answer emails on the weekends or holidays. So the total time it took me to find an option to Columbia was 6 days. Another option, but more expensive, is to have your bike flown to Bogata from Tucamen airport in Panama City. Go to the airport and be ready to ship that day. Deal with the cargo companies at the airport, not at their office in downtown Panama City. They leave 6 days a week and my friend who left today is paying around $800 for the bike, then he has to get a ticket for himself. He did not us DHL.

Container, air, or sailing vessel?

Good info, thanks. We are looking for the Panama - Colombia transfer in the middle of January, probably at or just after the 15th. At the moment I have tentatively arranged for a ride on the La Pointe sailing yacht, but I will entertain other options as the thought of the salt water issue is playing on my mind.

Felix, the folks at http://lapostesailingclub.org have the info you are looking for. But! You should read Sparky.Marky's experience sailing on Wildcard before making the commitment.
We chose to fly and are in Bogotá and will pick up the bikes this morning.
The container method seems most cost effective and efficient if the time is properly arranged.
Best of luck with your journey!
