Cape Town to South America
 

Hi,

I am shipping two bikes to South America by Air in august. I have heard Buenos Aires can be a pain to clear bikes and they should be packed separately, which obviously adds to the shipping price. Also BA is quite expensive. I remember paying about 100 € in Valparaiso to get my bike, but here it would be around 700 USD.

Anyone has experience with flying to Montevideo or Santiago? Is that cheaper/ Easier to get the bikes through customs?

Sea is not an option because of the long lead transit times.
