Alaska to Russia

Can anyone advise how to ship a bike from Alaska to Russia, perhaps Anchorage to Magadan although I'm not fussy?
I hope I'll be able to read any responses, I'm fiding HU a bit confusing!

Magadan from Anchorage?

as they say in Maine ... you caint get deya from hyar.
Try flying (or shipping) the bike from Anchorage to Korea. From Korea you can ferry across to Vladivostok (or near Vladivostok) and then from Vladivostok you can put the bike on a freight ship for Magadan, while you fly up from Vladivostok.

There are no international flights to/from Magadan anymore and I doubt there is any international shipping.

from Alaska to Korea

Flying from Alaska to Korea

me and my brother (we are from brazil) have ridden our bikes from brazil to alaska in 2.008. now we want to fly them from anchorage to korea. as i have read before, it seems to be easier to fly it to korea instead of flying it to russia, right?

so, do we need any different documents to enter korea and than enter russia? what about the carnet? and where and how we can get a carnet?

about how much are we going to spend for flying the bikes there?

than, the plan is to ship it to japan, ride in japan. from japan we want to ship it to vladivostok and than enter in china and so on...

our bikes are BMW's 1.200. we have heard that we can not cross the china fronteer riding big bikes like ours. is that true? what is necessary to get inside china?

thanks for now. hope to hear from you soon...

There used to be a regular car ferry (ROHO) from Japan to Vladivostok.
I'm sure there still is as Russia is importing heaps of second hand cars from japan.

BTW, if you do find something from Alaska to Magadan, please post here.
I'm sure there are some air charters on this route for the Mining companies
