Air/sea shipment; Los Angeles, CA to Egypt
 

Can anyone recommend a freight forwarder/transport company for shipping two motorcycles from Los Angeles, CA, to Alexandria/Cairo Egypt (via sea or air)? Also need the name of a customs broker in Egypt. Thanks.

i would in the strongest possible way recommend NOT to ship anything, especially not a motor vehicle, into or out of egypt. it will be a nightmare. life is too short.

Although this hurts a bit (check my From: field), I have to agree with Chris on this one. It is doable if you do your homework properly and make sure all the needed papers are in order but the process will eat up precious time … I mean days. I would ship to maybe Jordan and take the ferry over to Sinai. Still the border crossing will take a good part of a day but that’s a lot better than flying in. If you need any help from down here let me know.
