What is the latest news on Iranian visa

Want to know if anybody have got Iranian visa lately and how long it took them?? Just applied yesterday, but am a bit late out, since we plan to go to Iran around 1st of October

Iran and a definative NO for a visa
 

I have been dealing with David from Stantours - he is always quick and efficient and is up-to-date on all goings on.
He said a definite NO just yesterday for people applying for an Iranian visa on a British passport. No way round it - just a downright refusal by the Iranian embassies.
If you are on another passport maybe you will be OK.
We have also heard from Paul Gowen at the RAC Carent department that he has had many of his carnet holders (a carnet is needed for Iran) recently disappointed as they have also had refusals.

if you do try and are on a British passport, let us know how you get on.

We got our approval number on 25 May and sent the passports yesterday for stamping, also know an other on here got his stamped and returned last week.
