Visitor wants to Buy & register a cycle in Germany WITHOUT getting the export tag
 

Hello. We are visiting Germany for an extended period and want to buy a bike to do some touring in Europe. We read the thread about getting a bike registered with export tags but we want to leave the bike in Germany. We can use our host's address but have been unable to find out definitely if we can buy and register a bike to leave here for when we visit. Anyone know the answer to that?

Also, we are having a hard time talking to people about bikes that we find on the internet since we don't know German. We are in Bavaria and wondered if someone might be able to help us with communictions and or BMW bikes for sale. We hope to still take a trip to Croatia this year from Germany.
