Visa for Sudan in Central African Republic/Cameroon
 

Hi,

My names David, and am currently in the midst of planning a trip for this summer leaving from the UK, going down to west Africa, across to the Central African Republic, up through Sudan and Egypt, then back to the UK via Turkey.

This query relates to visas for Sudan. It seems that if I was to get one before I leave it would expire after 3 months, which would definitely be before I exited Sudan and likely before I got in.

Does anyone know if and where I can perhaps get one in any of the preceding countries I am visiting: Mali, Burkina Faso, Benin, Nigeria, Cameroon or Central African Republic?

Or could I get it at the border?

I can't answer your question, but are you aware that Southern Sudan is about to be split off from Sudan, as they voted for independence recently and will probably be a new country by middle of this year. If that happens, Im not sure if visas issued for 'Sudan' would be acceptable for 'Southern Sudan', but maybe they might be in the initial stages. :confused1:

I was aware that Sudan is doing the old split in two, but it doesn't matter now as my plans have changed entirely, doing far east on foot, then biking back to UK from India.

Have fun with your trip, I'll definitely do Africa at some point in the near future.
