Venezuela Visa for Canadian
 

Hey gang,

I just heard from the gov. of Canada that I need a Visa for Venezuela - only if I enter by land! I'm now trying to find out where the heck I can get one in Brazil on my way north and how much it will cost. Any tips?

According to the sites: in Belém, Manaus, Boa Vista, Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo, maybe Belo Horizonte and Recife (???):

Visa requirement
 

Roughly 2 months ago April 13, 2010, I was in Belem and went to the Venezuelan consulate, after reading your post from a couple of years ago. Alex Reis told me all about you. I read that you got your visa paperwork for Venezuela, in reading this I had a small freak out as I was getting on the boat within two days. I thus wandered over to the Venezuelan Consulate and they sat down with me and informed me that no visa was required. I passed into Venezuela on my Canadian passport no problem and out 3 weeks ago with no issue, No visa required.
