uk to turkey

Hi
I am planning a trip from the UK to turkey via Austria, Hungary, Serbia, Bulgaria & into Turkey.
I plan to use campsites as much as possible & I would like some information on any documents needed for each country.
I read somewhere that some countries require payment to use motorways what countries require this & where do I pay the toll.

cheers Eric

If you use Austrian motorways you must buy a sticker (vignette).

In Bulgaria bikes are exempt from the general road toll.

You need to obtain a green card from your insurance and check which countries on your itinerary it is valid for. For countries not covered by your GC you buy insurance at the border.

Oops, I knew about Switzerland but I didn't know it was also like that in Austria. Is that for all roads or just motorways?

As mention before, greencard (insurance) covers the most of the countries, international driver license, no need for international bike license, till now i did not used my carne. Have fun and be careful in some of the countries the car driver are crazy!:mchappy:

welcome to Turkiye. Hope you enjoy riding here. Take care of the traffic. Drop me line for a cold beer in this hot weather if you come to Ankara.

Ozhan u,

Could you please let me know what type of gas cylinders and regulators you use in Turkey?

can I use the UK Calor or Euro CampingGaz type or can you get them refilled.

Cheers mate.
