UK Insurer recommendation, short term, PLEASE!
 

Hi all -

Here's my question:
Moved to the UK from USA 3 years ago. Brought over my husbands Yamaha motorbike. We have never registered it here (UK) so it still has a USA tag. Now we are moving to Singapore (in 6 weeks) and we can't take it with us (so sad). So in order to sell it here, we need to register it first. In order to register it, we need a Type Approval. In order to do that, he needs to drive it to Liverpool for the MSVA test (booked for Tuesday). In order to do THAT, we need to insure it for the day/week/???

So - now for the question - Does anyone know of a short term insurance companies that will insure a driver with an International license? (No, we don't have UK driving licenses either)
I've googled it and tried Flexirider but they will only insure bikes that are already registered.

Sorry, this may be a bit late.
I'm trying to help someone with a similar problem, and the only companies I can find that may be able to cover you are Bennets and Express insurance.

I'd be interested to know how it worked out with you, and what happened in the end.

I hope one of these companies can help. It's a pain that the UK insurance companies are so rigid on this stuff, it seems accepting a UK licence only is the biggest problem.
