Travel insurance - HELP!!!
 

Heya,

Does anyone know of a good insurance company that will cover me in countries that the FCO advise against travelling to?

Plus I have a pre-existing medical condition which makes it that little more difficult!!

Anyone???

Can't give you the names but there was a thread recently on insurance companies. So do a search on this site and you will find a few recommendations.

My impression is that if the FO has advised against travel, then insurance companies won't cover you. They avoid risk like the plague.

You might just have to weigh up the risks and decide if you want to travel to those places without insurance.

And what's more, available insurance varies greatly according to your country (and state, if applicable) of residence. If you don't say where you're from, most replies will be inapplicable....if people even bother replying.

And more: you don't say whether you're looking for travel insurance (medivac, for example, or trip cancellation) or health insurance. Makes a difference.
