i am british and my wife is canadian, regarding travel insurance is it possible to be covered if we are both non-resident in our respective countries. if so can anyone recommend any suitable brokers

I assume you are referring to Travel Medical Insurance coverage. The answer is YES, there are a number of companies who will cover residents of various countries. See the Site Menu on the left under Medical Insurance. This link will take you to a listing. Cost will depend on where you are going. If you include North America it will cost much more... Also, not all insurers will cover more than 12 months.
