Transferring a CdP
 

Greetings fellow riders,
Does anybody have knowledge or better still experience with transferring a CdP from one person to another outside of the home country?
In particular with ADAC.
I'm looking at buying a bike from a rider at the end of his trip and at the beginning of mine and riding to Europe.
I'm guessing that transferring the CdP would be problematic but any suggestion would be appreciated.

The info I have from the ADAC is that CdP is NOT transferable - sucks for the concept of buy in one location - ride to another.
