Tijuana TVIP....Where?

It seems i crossed the border without hitting the Aduane. I was waiting for it but it didn't magically appear. Nobody "processed" me.

So i'm in Tijuana without my tvip and i feel vulnerable. Should i get this in Tijuanna somehow......like head back to the border??? dunno? Or should i just wait untill i'm in la Paz in a few weeks. I'm from Canada?

Geez, i need to learn a little more spanish.

Any help would be appreciated

From what i've learned

from what I've learned on HU is i don't need my TVIP and passport stamped until La Paz. Is this True? I hope so because i'm hitting the road.:innocent::mchappy:

i swear the worst drivers in Tijuana are the cops. Wow, it's like their following me around and cutting me off. People drive a little different around here eh?

The key to happiness is learning how to ask the appropriate questions (or answer them) before you get into trouble, not after. At borders, ask. If you don't get the answers you need, ask again.

Here's the answer you wanted. Read the whole thread: []New Fine for no Tourist Card in Baja.. - ADVrider.

Mexican drivers aren't bad. Might as well get used to it if you're heading south.

I have to agree with Mark. If you think it is bad in Tijuana just wait till you hit one of the bigger cities on the main land :scooter:

As for the TVIP you really do not need it unless you are going into mainland Mexico. The easiest place to get it and your Tourist Card is at the Aduane in downtown Ensenada near the port. The easiest way to the find it is as you come into downtown Ensenada just as you come down the last hill into town you turn right and head down towards the harbour. It is fairly well marked – well for Mexico – and I think the sign is yellow in colour.

Hope that helps

My fuzzy recollection is that the Aduana/Banjercito thing is a few blocks to the west of the road that actually crosses the border. It is near a big traffic circle, ask around. I missed it on the way out once and had to turn around and go into Mexico to cancel my permit, from that direction, take the first exit once you get into Mexico.

I'm in Ensenada....so thanx dirtpig....i'll be checking on that tomorrow. Just the info i needed.

Markhauf, yes, ask questions. I assumed and that always gets you in trouble.

I like the way they drive actually...just different.

Andy T i'll save that info for the way back and forth.

Can't wait until i can help someone on HU.
