The Stan's by bike
 

Long term traveller who wants to do the Stan's....Tajik, Usbek etc. I'm hoping to buy a bike motorcycle in Turkey or Georgia and then go fromt there. I know which countries need carnets (ie none in the stans), but interested in types of bikes available for purchase

I've done many countries on a Thai Honda Dream and a Honda Hero ....Looking for a bike like this or a brand that might be prevalent in all the countries.

And lastly, Insurance...I know i can buy at some borders but wondering if i've missed a web site saying approximate prices. Any ideas.... ?? Bike not bigger than 250 cc....
