Storage insurance for Canadian motorcycle stored in Spain

Hi,
I am currently (Jun 16, 2023) travelling in Spain with a motorcycle plated and registered in BC Canada. I am trying to store the motorcycle in Barcelona and the storage facility requires storage insurance. Can anyone give me a an insurance company that will issue storage insurance for a motorcycle registered in Canada that will be stored in Spain?

Hopefully someone can help me or I am riding back to Heidelberg.
Thanks,
Lee

We stored 2 US plated bikes with IMT in Barcelona. Insurance was included in the cost.

IMT bikes requires that the bike is insured by the owner. The website indicates that they have storage insurance but this is only for fire and they will not store the bike unless you have your own insurance. Hispania tours allows bike storage with no insurance on the bike itself.

I think it would be helpful to complile a list of motorcycle storage locations in Europe that don't require that the bike is insured. ie Knopf tours, Hispania etc. What section of the HUBB should I post the request for additions?

That must be a recent development - I stored my Canadian moto with IMT in Madrid 4 years ago, and they did not require insurance then.

It might be worth contacting IMT to determine exactly what type of insurance they want your moto to have. I kind of doubt if they want it insured against theft or damage. It might be possible that they just want you to have liability insurance on your moto, so that if (for example) your moto catches fire or explodes or something like that and damages IMT's property or other bikes stored there, IMT's insurance company can then subrogate the claim to your insurance company.

Positive they require this. Multiple contacts to verify. They just want the bike insured by the owner. This wasn't something that I wanted to deal with so that's why I am interested in a list storage options that allow storage without the bike being insured at all except by the storage facility.
