Senegal - Do you really need a carnet?
 

I am planning a trip through Morocco, Mauritania, and into Senegal. What are the latest experiences in crossing into Senegal without a Carnet? If they are really required I'm not sure how those of us in the UK go about getting one now the RAC have stopped issuing them.
Any wisdom gratefully received.
