Russian visa in Kazakstan??????
 

I've got a single entry Russian visa all ready to go following a visit to Kazakhstan.
As always, plans change. I now need to go Russia - Kazakhstan -Russia.
Can I get a second entry on my visa while in Kazakstan??

For what I understand, having gone through the visa process myself 2 months ago, it seems you must apply for a visa in your country of origin/residency.

As you do not say which nationality you have, it is difficult to say more as there may be exceptions... but seems to be the general rule for european passport holders....

So it might be impossible on the road. You may want to check with a visa agency or the russian embassy in Kazakhstan?

It was certainly possible 2 years ago (which may of course now not be the case!)....

I know this from working for an overland company through the region. However, we obtained the visas for Australians and Brits through using a local tour operator to assist with the paperwork.

So it was definitely possible at one stage, whether it still is I don't know.
