russian visa
bit of a problem that i need some advice on.
we are off to mongolia in june, via russia and kazahkstan. four of us are shipping the bikes home, so no issues with visa's. but one chap wants to ride home[retired, so no time issues] there in is the problem. a normal tourist visa is double entry 30days. a visa agency claims that it is poss. to renew in UB but all my research suggests otherwise, that leaves a buiseness visa, but we are obviously tourists. so are there any suggestions on how to get around the problem. cheers, paul. |
Paul
Your mate should get himself a 6 or 12 month business visa if he needs more than 2 entries. They are easy enough to get... I've just obtained a couple of 12 month multi entry business visas and a 6 month multi entry one. Did it myself without resorting to an agency. Got the LOI from these people Visa-Link and got the Visas themselves in London. See This Link. Tells you everything you need... |
visa
brilliant.
are you going for pleasure or buiseness? |
If you call 22,000 miles to Magadan and back pleasure - I guess it is that !!

visa
we were lead to believe that if on/in a vehicle that a moto tourism was also needed, how are you getting around that one?

Just follow the links, read what I suggested you should read and fill in the forms - job's a good 'un...
You were misled about the ability to extend a Russian Visa overseas and you've been misled again... All the data you need is on the links I suggested you read... doh |
visa.
cheers guys, knew i should have asked here first.
the advice re the moto tourismo voucher was from a respected agency, and was for the tourist visa not the buisness visa. so are you saying none of us need it. paul. |

What did the 6 months multi entry one come to with the LOI and fees ? Cheers Geordie |
We got our Letter of Invitation (LOI) for our 6 month business visa from David Berghof at STANtours - cost 100 USD per letter. I am sure that Real Russia in Islington will also do a LOI for probably a litlle less than that - found this out afterwards. Then just apply for visa - 6 months multiple entry costs £200 and takes 6 working days to process.
We just got our visas and will be travelling west from UK to USA on 3rd April and then shipping to Vladivostok from Seattle around Mid to end of May. |

we only went the agency route to try and keep it simple, and was only quoting what we were told. the benefit of using an agent for us, is that its still cheaper than travelling up and down the country to visit the embassies in person. ive passed on the link to the guy who needs the buisness visa, the rest of us only need the standard tourist one. thanks again, paul. |

I'm having some issues getting a biz visa what did you put down for this requirement? any help would be really appreciated . Introductory letter from your company/organization (or from yourself if you are self-employed) giving full details of the traveller, destinations, dates and purpose of the visit as well as stating the name of inviting organization, contact details of the responsible person in Russia and explaining who will take financial responsibility of the trip. |
