That's all I meant too. I do know how borders work....
... But I've never tried to go through one with a passport that doesn't explain how I got there, and I just wonder how often that causes trouble and how often it goes unnoticed. My passport got a thorough read through at half the borders I passed through. Although one guy in Tajikistan did very carefully copy down the number of my visa for Uzbekistan, so they probably often have no idea what they're looking at...
I suppose in the end if you meet their entry requirements and are standing on the doorstep, they're going to let you in.
As for getting a second passport, as far as I was able to find out last year it is officially not enough to say that you have to apply for lots of visas and need to be travelling at the same time. You either have to be a regular business traveller (with the emphasis on "business") with documentary evidence to support your claim, or needing to travel to "incompatible" countries such as Syria and Israel.
