Registration of South African Vehicles after long term trip out of South Africa
 

I guess my question is very similar to that posed in the first Sticky in the Trip Paper work forum but with reference to a South African Vehicle outside and then returning to South Africa - my registration has now lapsed and I was wondering if anyone knows what the implications of this might be on return?

I am planning to ship the car back (I suspect that driving through a road border would be very easy). Also will it cause problems that there has been a hiatus in its SA registration?
