Registering A bike in the UK

Hey folks,
I've just bought a bike in the UK and I'm wondering how I can register it temporarily for a trip around Europe.
I'm a US citizen but also a UK citizen but I don't have an address in the UK so I'm not sure how to go about that.
Any suggestions or advice are welcome :)
Many thanks ^_^
Will

I've forgotten to mention that I'd like to take the bike to the US after my trip to register it there.

I presume it is UK registered and am surprised that the seller let you have it without supplying an address to put in the registration document. I am not sure that you can actually register a vehicle in the UK without an address, it does not have to be your own, do you not know a friend or family member who will let you use theirs?, you will also need one to insure it.

The bike is registered in the UK I believe, and the dealer asked me for an address.. I told him I would be able to provide him with one because I do have some family and friends in the UK. But would said address affect the household in terms of taxes or anything.. I don't want to make work for somebody :)
Thanks for your reply by the way!!

It should not affect the homeowner in any way, it is the registered keeper, you in this case who is liable for parking/speeding tickets, taxing and insuring the bike and anything else to do with it.
