Hi all

Have posted a few things on HUBB about driving a tuk tuk from Bangkok to the Uk this summer... lots of response so thanks.

Please could soemone tell me if we need to get our vehicle registration docs translated into Russian for going through Kazakhstan, Russia and the Ukraine? And if so is there an agency who will do this for you?

And does anyone know if you can get a visa for Russia in Kazakhstan - either Almaty or Astana?

No you dont have to translate your rego documents.

Part 2

Yes you should be able to , but you may need the original LOI to present to the embassy. I think this is the case for collecting visas in Mongolia. Make sure you Kazak visa covers any delays in issuing the Russian Visa.

I dont know if the Russians have embassies in both cities, lots of them moving (reluctantly) to Astana.
