Pakistani Visa Problem
 

Hello;

Just having Pakistani visa issues for the UK to Oz trip. We applied from the UK (both UK citizens), did the usual
Lost Horizon Treks invitation letter, tourism license, suggested itinerary
All the paperwork correct etc

Applied through Gerry's agency as it is compulsory.

Then got a call from the embassy saying we needed a letter of "clearance" from the interior ministry (new thing for British Citizens), they also informed our sponsor LH treks, as they have to apply on our behalf. LH said this sometimes this happens and the clearance letter could take months. As our set off date is nearing I emailed Gerry's and said if we can't get the visa without this letter can we have our passports back as need to apply for Indian one etc.

Has anyone else experienced this? How long did the clearance take to come through, what "sponsor" company did you use?

We are thinking of applying from Turkey or Iran aswell just to try our luck.

What are others' experiences.
