Overland Vehicle Entry into Israel - Insurance
 

Howaya Lads!

Took a cruiser into Israel last month via a container. They would not release the vehicle from customs without Insurance - minimum insurance required was Chovva (bodily insurance for you, passengers, and others)

3rd Party is extra.

I spent ages trying to source insurance for a right hand vehicle. The guys in Goldfus Insurance were the only ones that could help and were great to deal with.

I left Egypt at the weekend and came back in from Egypt - again customs wanted proof of Insurance cover before I could enter.

So my advise if entering Israel overland is to sort your Insurance well ijn advance as without it you won't get in and the way these guys drive - you'll want it!

Also - note that your Carnet dosen't work in Israel - which is a good thing as you will avoid any dodgey stamps in it and can drive on into Egypt and then into other Arab countries if you want
