A few credit card companies provide free travel/health insurance when you book tickets through their travel services - AMEX and Visa come to mind.
|
Try Carole Nash - I'm 61 and on the road right now. They use AXA. They have just extended our insurance for another 6 months but I hear they may be limiting this in future.

Hi
Thanks for the replies, got what I wanted from Direct Line, needed to ring them, but the young lady on the phone could not have been more helpfull. Seems the internet site still says " under 125 cc only" but that is no longer true David:D |

Yes, gets you emergency medical treatment but wont get you home. If you break your back then relying on an EH1C will leave you a bit short of a few thousand euros. This is not scaremongering either - I am an insurance broker by profession and do know of a case where exactly this happened and the guy had to remortgage his house to raise the funds to get an air ambulance home. |

Sometimes folks misread their policies - there are some that exclude bikes over 125cc but there are a lot of policies that exclude bikes over 125cc UNLESS the insured has a licence which allows the insured to ride the bigger bike. |
