One way ticket to Singapore- a problem?

We are starting our trip to the Uk from Singapore in January. The travel agent suggested we may have a problem getting into Singapore on a one way ticket without an outbound ticket. What is the best way of over coming this problem?

Hi

I think that you will be OK without a ticket. Nobody bothered me about it when I rode in from Malaysia.

When I entered Singapore, I accidently went across the border with all the local bikes - not the 'correct' channel where they sort out the carnet. As a result, after entering Singapore I had to double back and find a customs officer to stamp my carnet. This turned out to be quite easy and far less hassle than going through the 'correct' channel as my friends did. They had to get taxis into town for paperwork and get those road charging things.

Hi, I am from Singapore, and i dont think theres any problem getting into singapore with a one way ticket. Its very common for travellers to exit via Malaysia and catch a flight from a another country.
