Motorcycle insurance USA -> Europe
I have a New Jersey registered Goldwing GL1800 which I just shipped over to France, and my wife and I are going to tour France and Europe for a year or 2. Does anyone know where we can get liability insurance for this trip? Thanks if anyone has the time to answer. - Michael Marzio - mike@realenglish.com

I got a really good quote from Geico. The website has a US number that you can call toll-free from the UK.

Hi Mike and welcome to the HUBB!
You can also arrange liability insurance for Europe (green card insurance) through Knopf Tours before you leave for Europe, for only $35 per month. But not sure if they can do longer than 6 months. BTW, you shouldn't put your e-mail address on your posting, because then spambots can harvest it. It is in your profile, and can be accessed by any human being who clicks on the icon. Sadly Stefan put his prices up a little. I still bought from him, though.
Geico offered me a policy covering all european countries, with one country (UK, in my case) as the 'main country'. It was a one year policy. Unfortunately, I couldn't buy the policy because when geico did a check on my NY drivers license, it, er, came up suspended. Now I have to figure out how to contact the NY DMV from the UK....hmm.
