Hi. Does anyone know if I can get insurance at Tangier MED on a Sunday evening, any contact or advice in how to get it. Are they available 24 hours like the ferries. I arrive this sunday( 30th October)

A few times I’ve arrived on a Sunday night and the insurance office at Tanger Med has been closed. Not sure if it’s still the case.

If it is I just stay nearby for the night a buy insurance the next morning

Moroccan Insurance Claims
 

Has anyone actually tried making a claim on Moroccan insurance purchased at the port of entry? Or is it just to satisfy the police.

Its 3rd party only so any claim on it would be by the 3rd party.

Its a legal requirement so doesnt really matter if it works or not. If you have an accident without insurance the penalties are large and potentially prison until you pay up

Tanger Ville?
 

Does anyone know if insurance (for a motorcycle) can also be bought at the Tanger Ville port?

I plan to arrive at 10pm on a Friday but can arrive on Saturday morning instead if that's better for insurance.

I presume that if the insurance office is closed, you must leave your bike at the port and find other transportation to a nearby hotel?
