Mexico. Dirt bike tow (undercover street legal)
 

Hello amigos..

Have a few fun queries here for people to either ponder on, or jump right in and answer if you are in the know on these topics.

Im looking at hitching a motorbike onto my overland van for this round of Mexico, Central and South America. (last couple times was just by motorbike)

Mexico has a one vehicle import permit per person rule! But a vehicle may enter towing a recreational vehicle. Being either a Dirt bike, quad bike or jet ski!

So i was thinking to take a street legal dirt bike and strip it back to just being a dirt bike to cross the border and later (further south) Id re-make it street legal again and try to import it into one of the other central American countries. doubtful if anyone has been bothered to do that ?

Is anyone aware of laws restricting more than one vehicle to be imported per person to any of the other central American countries or even South America ?

Has anyone re-plated their bike in any latin American country or know of somewhere the process is possible ?
