Jordan-Egypt-Libya-Tunisia-Algeria Route with Export Plate
 

Hi to all!

I'm in Qatar right now and Automobile & Touring Club in Doha told me that I will not require a carnet in those countries (Jordan, Egypt, Libya, Tunisia, Algeria and eventually Spain) as long as I have an export plate. So, I got and export plate and ready to roll.

I just wanted to double check with you and hear your experiences if any.

I'm fairly certain that you do need a carnet for Egypt and I suppose that you are aware of the guide requirements for Libya. See the carnet page.
