Iran Visa Extension
 

Hi

My 10 day tourist visa starts on the 16h July. This does not leave me enough time a) to travel at leisure, and b) if things go wrong. I can get from Turkey to Turkmenistan in that time, but i'd like to extend my visa if possible.

Even this is a spesific subject, I remember last year 2 NL.bikers did it in Trabzon.(Richard and Harald)
But soon you will be in Erzurum.
Iran consulates available in both cities..

Been hardly able to transfer them to Turkey..

I thought tourist visas were 30 days and to extend you had to visit a 'police alien affairs' center (or something similar to that name).

According to this page the fine is £19 per day overstay. I'm not saying i'd like to try it though!

I asked for three weeks, on my form, when I handed it in to the Frankfurt Embassy.

They did the visa same day, and when they brought the passport back down, it was only for 10 days. I was the last in the building and they were trying to shove me out and lock up, so no time to argue. Maybe they misread my handwriting/? Who knows.
