We used Nomad Insurance in Almaty, and got a month for £36

Very helpful service and they speak some english and german.

Useful to know, all my research on getting insurance before entry came up blank. Are you sure about the number though? I thought all KZ numbers started 7.

That was on their stamp on my receipt. Just googled them with the same result. Their office is in Seyfullin St, just off Gogal St.
