Has anyone recently done the india UK run?
 

I'm looking to do it on an Enfield. The problem is paperwork. Is a carnet required or not? I have been told that since the bike is not going to return to India, a carnet is not required and infact cannot be issued. But I have also been told the Pakistani's and the Iranians wont let you in without one... Hmmm HELP please.

Carnet is required.

In theory this trip can no longer be done. You have to fly to Turkey.

Some trqavellers have tried to enter Pak without a carnet, but to date I have not heard of any success.
