As i understand it under eec regulations companies cannot discriminate against any eec country. and must allow free trading throughout the eec.
or hamper cross border trade. so all vehicle insurances cover you throughout the eec. as it happens my french insurance includes a few non eec countries including turkey but specifically excludes iran.
