Des, I got two replacement licences from DVLA, over the space of a year. Very handy. I used to do this trick when I was 18 to give my sis a real fake ID so she could get into clubs (the photo is so small and we don't look dissimilar)

Also got two international driving licences.

Used my fake wallet at a checkpoint in Tajikistan to show I had no money, and got out of paying a bribe. Yay.

All the above is good advice - but I would also add don't get paranoid. Despite what the world's news services want you to believe you are not at instant (or increased) risk of being robbed as soon as you leave your home town. Take sensible precaution of not having all your money and documents in one place, then enjoy your travels and stop writing too much. The chances are you'll be fine and have a much more enjoyable time.
