do i need a carnet from rotterdam to jakarta?
 

Next month i will ship my kawasaki LTD454 to Indonesia for a 6 week trip. Do i need a carnet and can i drive with my own number plate. <After the trip i will ship my motor back to rotterdam.>

I'd contact your local Automobile Association for the latest information on whether or not the Carnet is REQUIRED. Many travellers have used it there, but uncertain as to whether it's required.

It's normal to use your own licence plate in most countries. The very few that require you to use theirs supply it on entry, so don't worry about it. Indonesia isn't one of them!
