Current situation and cry for help re Tajik visas and GBAO permit in Bishkek
 

Hello,

Contrary to the recent situation where you could get your Tajik visa in Bishkek within 24 hours, it's currently taking at least 5 working days! (Fingers crossed ours arrive tomorrow!)

In addition, they will only issue GBAO permits for 5 days (6 if you beg).

Now we've spent this additional time waiting for the visa, I don't think we have time to apply for a new permit in Osh, I believe it takes a few days?
Unfortunately we also don't have time, on account of our previously organized Uzbekistan visa (which had 10 days puffer in, but it will now still be tight for us) to go to Dushanbe first for a new GBAO permit, then go east then north along the pamir, back into Kyrgyzstan and onto Uzbekistan. The only alternative for us, unless someone has a brainwave (?) is cross at Kyzyl Art, go south then around to Khorog.

Is it possible to get a quick permit in Osh? Would it be for longer than 5 days?

Is it possible to get an extension in either Khorog or murghab?

Where are you staying in Bishkek?
Some guys I know had a 7 days permit there a few days ago.
I suppose they had been helped by Chinara at Dolonsky78
