Crossing borders with a borrowed bike in central Asia.
Hello,
I know there are various threads about crossing borders on a borrowed bike in South America and Morocco but I wondered if any one has any specific experience of doing this in central Asia. I am riding my own bike from London to Kyrgyzstan (where I fly home from) and a friend would like to ride my bike from Kyrgyzstan back to Georgia (from where I can ship it home). So my friend will be crossing the following boarders Kyrgyzstan/Uzbekistan/Kazakstan/Azerbaijan/Georgia. Any idea if this is possible on a borrowed bike? Other discussion threads specific to South America etc have recommended having a notarised letter of permission from me. Will this also be enough in central Asia? Many thanks, Sarah |
Trip Tips
Hi Sarah,
I'm guessing you completed your trip this year. I am planning something similar for 2020, and wondered if I could ask a few questions?? Thanks, Tom |
