Which countries can I NOT PARK my bike in temporarily?

Many countries require that you leave with the bike, so there is no parking of the bike. Often there is a piece of paper or a stamp in your passport identifying the vehicle as being with you, and you must leave with it.

All of Central America stamps your passport with the vehicle.

All Carnet REQUIRING countries require the vehicle leave within a period of time specified when you arrive.

Perhaps another "it depends" topic.

For instance, everyone knows that you can enter Argentina with your vehicle and go home for nearly 8 months, come back and drive out with no problems.
But I question whether that is the legal position because two separate travellers told me they asked if it was OK to leave their vehicle in Argentina while they went out of the country for a day or two. One was by ferry to uruguay and the other was to fly to Brazil for a few days. In each case the official position was that they could not leave without the vehicle.

I just went back to Argentina after almost 7 month in Europe, and took my motocycle to Chile without any problems

Peru is ok to leave right? And 12 month TIP given correct?

Peru is fine JFman, I just did the same and even told customs about it and they weren't fussed, one lady just said "you were supposed to leave it parked in bonded storage..." but that was the end of it!

And for the record I have flown out of Costa Rica with my bike still there and never had a problem, this was in 2013.

What about the UK or Spain

Can I leave my bike in the UK for maybe 6 months?
Say question about Spain?

I left my bike in an impounded parking lot several times, generaly located, near international airports. It's considered as if you and the bike leave the country semultaneously.
