Children's visas
 

Bit of an odd post but I need some advice as I'm just starting to plan a trip for this Christmas.

However, my friend's 12yr old daughter will be living with me by then (for a year) and having been offered the chance of staying in France with friends or travelling to Africa, she's dead keen on coming with me.

Initially we'll fly into Abidjan, so I need to get a visa for both of us from the Embassy in Paris. From Abidjan we'll pick up visas along the way for Liberia, Guinea, Mali, Burkina & Ghana.

Bit of a long shot, but has anyone else got visas for a minor that's not their own? I'm Irish, she's a Kiwi just to add to the complication. Her mother will have a signed a pile of letters declaring my responsibility for her.

Do you think the various embassies would want more than that for a minor?
