Central American Border Crossings
 

We're a couple Canadian guys planning on travelling from Panama to Canada on KLR's in April. What should I be prepared for at these border crossings? Is there much in advance that I can do?

What you'll need is a little patience, an ounce of luck, and remember to keep smiling no matter how long how it takes...

Use the search function with the letters "pj30", and you'll see a list of costs from Philipp Jokisch for every border.

What helps is to have photocopies on hand of your registration or title for the bike, your license, your passport, etc. Nothing worse than to trudge around for that Photocopy wearing all your gear eh.

A little Spanish might come in useful too...
